Community.

West Liberty Christian Church has been serving Christ and the West Liberty community for over 100 years. Throughout our history, buildings have changed, seasons have shifted, and challenges have come—but our calling has remained the same: to honor God, proclaim the Gospel, and live faithfully according to His Word.
In March 2012, a tornado destroyed our church building along with many homes and businesses in the area. By God’s grace and the faithfulness of His people, the church was rebuilt, and the congregation began meeting in the current facility in January 2016.
We are grateful for God’s provision and remain committed to serving Christ and our community for generations to come.
Our gatherings will be for the purpose of bringing glory to God and stirring one another to love and good works. (Heb. 10:25)
When we gather as a body we seek to stand in agreement with the emphases of the early church: a commitment to sound Biblical doctrine, inspiring fellowship among believers, calling believers to remembrance of Christ’s work, and seeking the Lord in prayer. (Acts 2:42)
When we gather, we do so to bring glory to God and to stir one another to love and good works. We seek to model the example of the early church through:
● Commitment to sound biblical doctrine
● Meaningful fellowship among believers
● Remembrance of Christ’s work
● Faithful prayer
Our vision is to honor God in all things and instruct believers to adhere to sound doctrine and practice. We do this by preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as revealed in God’s Word, by the power of the Holy Spirit and equipping the saints to do the same.
Our mission is to fulfill the biblical commission Christ has given to His Church.
Then Jesus came to them and said,
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
(Matthew 28:18-20)
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness.
We believe in one God, Creator and Sustainer of all things, who eternally exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only Son—fully God and fully man. We believe in His sinless life, His substitutionary death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, and His ongoing intercession for His people.
We believe that all mankind has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and that the wages of sin is death.
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone, offered to all according to the sovereign grace of God and paid for by Christ’s sacrificial death.
We believe that Heaven is the place of eternal life for the saved, and Hell is the place of eternal punishment for the unsaved.
Hunter and Amanda Fraley have served West Liberty Christian Church since 2015. They are graduates of Kentucky Christian University where Amanda studied nursing and Hunter studied Bible and Ministry. They have two sons, Elias and Brooks.
Hunter and Amanda grew up in WLCC’s youth group, Fireproof, which they would go on
to lead for over a decade. They hope to build up the name of Christ throughout West Liberty for years to come!
